Man City star could move twice this summer with chain reaction to benefit all but Guardiola
Man City are poised to make a loss on Pedro Porro this summer, with a report revealing the thriving Spaniard could actually move twice before next season begins.
Pedro Porro may not be a name familiar to too many readers, though he has been on Manchester City’s books since 2019. The 22-year-old joined City from Girona in a deal the Mirror reported was worth £11m. Girona’s majority owners are City Football Group.
Porro – who can operate in a number of positions on the right side – was immediately loaned to Real Valladolid upon signing.
He returned to Man City the year after, though did not make a single first-team appearance before being shipped out on loan again. Portugal was his destination this time, with a two-year stint at Sporting Lisbon agreed.
Sporting’s official website confirmed the deal contained a purchase option when the loan concluded. The figure involved has been speculated to be £7m – £4m less than City paid.
Almost two years on and Porro is thriving in Portugal. He has played right-back, wing-back and right midfield in Lisbon and has four goals and seven assists to his name this season.
