Man City squad could be strengthened in three other areas
Manchester City and Pep Guardiola got their hands on a fourth Premier League title in five seasons last Sunday, in the most dramatic of fashion.

So as the old saying goes, strengthen from a position of strength, and City have certainly done that with the acquisition of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. Since making the move to Germany, the clinical striker has scored a staggering 86 goals in 89 games and further enforced himself as one of Europe's finest talents.

He will add so much to Guardiola's already star-studded squad, but what other areas could the Catalan look to bolster this summer. Here are three positions that could need addressing:

This may be the most obvious one out of the three, but the Blues are in desperate need of a defensive midfielder. Despite Rodri's emergence as one City's best players, the departure of club captain Fernandinho deems it necessary to find an alternative to the combative Spaniard.
It seems like City are already aware and the likes of Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong and Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips have been linked with a switch to east Manchester in recent weeks. The only potential issue would be guarantees of game time, meaning it's more likely City opt to sign a player capable of playing in both midfield roles.
