Man City's FA Cup fifth round opponents confirmed as Pep Guardiola's side discover fate

Manchester City will face Newcastle United in the fifth round of the FA Cup. It's not an ideal draw for Pep Guardiola's side, who face an away game against the Magpies as they look to book their place in the quarter-finals.

By the time the match takes place it will be the fifth meeting between the two teams this season. City lost at St. James' Park in the Premier League back in November, but the teams were drawn against each other in the Carabao Cup semi-final with Guardiola's side coming out on top in both the home and away legs.

The sides are due to meet each other this coming weekend in the Premier League back at the Etihad Stadium, with the FA Cup clash set to take place over the weekend of March 7th.

The two sides could even meet again this season - but only if they both reach the Champions League final, having been drawn on opposite sides of the knockout stages bracket.
