Man City player ratings vs PSG amid three 4/10s in Champions League collapse
Manchester City endured another miserable evening in the Champions League after throwing away a two-goal lead to lose against Paris Saint-Germain.
Pep Guardiola's side had weathered a storm from the home side in torrential rain to work their way into a winning position, with goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland putting them 2-0 up after 50 minutes. However, they were level by the hour mark as PSG stormed back into the game.
Joao Neves got a winner for Luis Enrique's men to pile the pressure on City, who must win their final group game next week at home to Club Brugge to make the play-offs. Here are the player ratings.
Ederson: Made some solid saves early on to repel PSG but it felt like everything went through him in the second half. 5
Nunes: An imposing run helped make the second goal, although he struggled to make the right decisions in large chunks of the game. 4
Akanji: Brilliant for the first goal, taking a risk and outwitting his man. Some doubts at the back continue to lurk. 6
Dias: Had looked good clearing PSG attacks and starting moves for City - his absence in the second half must be down to injury. 7
Gvardiol: An important block off the line but has to take some responsibility for the defence conceding three. 5
Kovacic: Too often it felt like he was one touch away from disaster and some loose play near his own box cost City an equaliser. 4
Silva: Sometimes he looked overrun in the middle, sometimes he was integral to City doing well. Another performance that will divide opinion. 6
De Bruyne: Didn't create as well as he has in recent matches, and was taken off early. No lack of effort though. 6
Foden: Composure for the first goal but a few too many loose touches and missed a clearance for the winner. 6
