Man City 'looking to beat Juventus' to Pau Torres signing and more transfer rumours
Manchester City have reportedly registered an interest in Villarreal's Pau Torres but will face stiff competition from Juventus if they want to get the deal done.
90min claim the 25-year-old centre-back is on City's radar this summer and that Pep Guardiola hopes to tempt the Spanish defender to make the move to Manchester. Torres has impressed with his performances in both La Liga and Europe.
Juve are said to be one of the other clubs interested in signing the left-footed centre-back. City's pursuit of Torres may hinge on whether Nathan Ake makes a departure this summer.

Elsewhere, Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella is still being targeted by City and 90min report that he is their first-choice defensive target this summer. They claim the south coast side's asking price of £50m is causing a stumbling block in negotiations.
Finally, City are interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, according to Marca. Gvardiol impressed during his maiden Bundesliga campaign and City are understood to be keen to bring him to the Premier League before another team makes a move.
