Erling Haaland might still be available for Manchester City's Premier League clash against Liverpool, despite not training this week with his groin injury.

Pep Guardiola has confirmed the extent of Haaland's injury, as well as how long Phil Foden will be out for after undergoing surgery to have his appendix removed. Foden will definitely miss the Liverpool game, while Haaland will be assessed on Friday ahead of the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.

Haaland withdrew from Norway's international fixtures last week with a groin problem picked up in City's FA Cup win over Burnley, and has not trained on his return to the Etihad. Guardiola said he was still a doubt to face Liverpool.
