Man City 'interested' in Ederson replacement as talks begin over £60m transfer

According to German news outlet Sport Bild, City are interested in signing Werder Bremen goalkeeper Michael Zetterer. The report claims that City are preparing for the eventuality of one of either Ederson or Stefan Ortega leaving the club this summer.

Ederson has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League in the last couple of weeks. As a result, the report claims that City are interested in signing Zetterer, who is contracted to the Bundesliga club until 2028.

It has been stated that Zetterer has a release clause in his contract at Werder Bremen which is set to expire this month. However, the value of the apparent clause has not been reported.
