Man City handed injury blow as Micah Richards gives Cole Palmer transfer verdict

Manchester City stars are currently dotted around the globe for yet another international break.

City's number one goalkeeper picked up a problem in his left foot during the 4-4 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. The severity of his injury and a time-frame for his return have not yet been outlined.

Micah Richards was gutted to see Cole Palmer score against City on Sunday afternoon, but the popular TV pundit admits his switch to Chelsea was the right decision.

Palmer came back to haunt City in their Premier League showdown - calmly firing home an added-time penalty to give Chelsea a point in a dramatic 4-4 draw. It was the 21-year-old's first appearance against his old team following his £42.5million transfer to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The departure of Riyad Mahrez seemed to have opened up space for Palmer to develop at City and he netted for them in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup. But the attacking midfielder thought more regular game-time football would come at Stamford Bridge.
