Man City get huge Kevin De Bruyne injury boost ahead of Arsenal Premier League showdown

Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish could be fit to face Arsenal after being pictured in Manchester City training on Monday.

Both players were left out of their respective international squads this month after suffering groin injuries, with Grealish back on the bench before the break against Newcastle without returning to action. Pep Guardiola had been positive about the duo, but admitted he didn't know if they would be ready to take on Arsenal on Sunday in a crucial Premier League title race showdown.

Now, however, the pair were pictured in training on Monday, taking time to congratulate City Women players after their impressive derby win over Manchester United at the weekend. Pictures published by City show De Bruyne and Grealish both out on the training pitch, shaking hands with members of the women's team.

De Bruyne was seen shaking hands with two-goal derby hero Jess Park, with City Women keeping up their title charge, trailing Chelsea only on goal difference in the WSL with five games remaining. Grealish was behind him, with a ball at his feet.

The return to fitness of De Bruyne and Grealish would provide Guardiola with a huge boost going into a busy run of fixtures that sees City face Premier League leaders Arsenal and fourth-placed Aston Villa in the space of four days, before a tricky trip to Crystal Palace next Saturday, followed by the start of their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.
