Man City finally have something Pep Guardiola loves - and their players know
Pep Guardiola doesn't want to talk about another Treble, but the chatter will only get louder after this weekend.
Manchester City were in three competitions this weekend and remain in three, yet surprise defeats for both Liverpool and Arsenal on Sunday have handed the Premier League champions a weapon they haven't enjoyed for months in the race: control. With the chance to book their place in the Champions League semi-finals and FA Cup final this week, the unthinkable is moving at the very least into possible.
The players are certainly alive to the situation and are keen to write more history during the most successful era the club has ever experienced. Just as they can see an opening on the pitch, the Blues are alive to the idea of breaking new ground in English football.

"Of course, obviously [it is] inspiration and motivation," Bernardo Silva said ahead of the second leg of their quarter-final with Real Madrid. "We know how well this team has done while I have been here for seven seasons and we want to create that legacy and to do another Premier League to do six in seven years and four in a row.
"We want to win the Champions League to do two in a row; only Madrid did three in a row once but no one else won consecutive Champions League. If we win two trebles in a row, that would be legacy.
"That's definitely motivation. Knowing that it is very difficult, because in one week we could be out of all the competitions but we are fighting for it and we are going to do everything in our power to each day be a step closer to that goal."
