Man City and Macclesfield discover FA Cup fourth round opponents as draw confirmed
Manchester City and Macclesfield have discovered their opponents for the fourth round of the FA Cup after the draw was completed on Monday night. Both clubs booked their place in the next round of the competition with victories over the weekend.
City have been drawn to face either Salford City or Swindon Town at home in the fourth round of the cup. The tie between Salford and Swindon is scheduled to take place on January 20, at which point Pep Guardiola and Co. will know who their opponents will be.
Macclesfield will host Brentford in their fourth-round tie after being drawn to face the Premier League outfit in the next stage of the competition.
City booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to a 10-1 win over Exeter City on Saturday.
Antoine Semenyo made his debut for City in the victory at the Etihad, where the £64million signing from Bournemouth got on the score sheet in the win.
Macclesfield secured their spot in the next round thanks to a 2-1 victory over holders Crystal Palace at the Leasing.com Stadium at the weekend.
The fourth round matches are scheduled to be played across the weekend of February 14-15, but there is a chance fixtures could be moved to either Friday or Monday nights if selected for live television broadcasting.
