Man City 2023/24 Premier League prize money ahead of title decider

Manchester City are one step away from making Premier League history and lifting the trophy for the fourth year in a row.

Pep Guardiola’s men overcame Tottenham on Tuesday night in what was a crucial clash in the race with Arsenal. Two goals from Erling Haaland gave City a 2-0 win and saw them climb above the Gunners in the table.

A win against West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on the final day would see the team be crowned Champions again. Arsenal are in action at the same time as City - they take on Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Based on last season’s figures, If City win against West Ham and secure the title for the fourth year in a row then they will earn £62.3 million in prize money from the Premier League. Each position in the table is worth £3.1 million more than the one below.

Therefore, if Arsenal do pip City to the title on the final day, their prize money would drop by £3.1 million to £59.1 million. That is however just part of what the club will earn form the Premier League.

Each club is also given a set amount of money from the league’s domestic and international broadcast agreement that makes up 50 percent of the income. The other 25 percent is the payment for facility fees, which is based on how many times a team has been on TV throughout the season.

For City, they will get the fifth-highest amount in the Premier League. The club had a total of 24 games selected for broadcast over the season, that’s not taking into account the weekend’s match vs West Ham which will be shown.
