Man charged with attempted child abduction after boy, 14, 'followed by car'
A man has been charged with attempted child abduction after a 14-year-old boy was allegedly 'followed by a driver in a car'.
The incident was reported to police on Monday, March 20. The boy was allegedly approached and followed by a man in a vehicle on Jacksons Lane in Hazel Grove, Stockport, at around 5pm.
A man - aged in his 40s - was arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction. Today, Sheraz Atteeque Bhatti was charged with attempted child abduction.

The 42-year-old, of Longhope Road, Wythenshawe, will appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court today (Thursday). In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "On Monday 20 March at around 5pm, a 14-year-old boy was approached and followed by a man in a vehicle who was on Jacksons Lane, Hazel Grove.
"A man in his 40s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction. Today, Sheraz Atteeque Bhatti (21/01/1981) of Longhope Road in Wythenshawe was charged with attempt child abduction.
"He is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on Thursday 23 March 2023."
