Man charged and two arrested after incident at football club

A man has been charged and two others arrested following an alleged 'fight' at function. Officers were called out to Radcliffe FC's ground, off Colshaw Close East, on Thursday (January 23).

Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to reports of an alleged fight that broke out at a function at 10pm that night. Two women reportedly received injuries following the incident, according to GMP.

Two officers responding to the incident were also allegedly injured. In a statement issued today (Saturday), GMP says it had charged a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident.

Wesley Semeniuk, of Queen Street, Radcliffe, was charged with assault and two counts of assault on an emergency worker. He was due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today.

Two further men were also arrested in connection with the incident. GMP says they have since been released on police bail as the investigation continues.
