Man, 42, dies following 'medical incident' in park

A man has died after suffering a 'medical incident' in a park in Bolton. Police and paramedics were called to Heywood Park in Great Lever just after 7am on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital, where he sadly died. Police say they are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

The park was cordoned off for much of the morning.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called to reports of a medical incident in Heywood Park in Bolton this morning. Despite the best efforts of emergency service personnel, a 42-year-old man sadly died later at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

"Enquiries have been conducted and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

"A file will be prepared for the coroner."
