Man, 33, who died after falling off motorbike is named as touching tributes left at scene

A man who died in a horror motorbike crash in Trafford has been named.

Emergency services were called to Church Road in Urmston at around 9.55am on Sunday morning (March 20) following reports of a crash. A 33-year-old man - now named as Stephen Beaumont - was rushed to hospital but tragically died from his injuries.

Police say the incident happened after Mr Beaumont fell from his Yahama MT-07 ABS motorcycle while riding in tandem with two others. Officers believe he may have crashed with one of the other riders.

Following the crash, a section of Church Road was cordoned off while officers carried out investigations. No arrests have been made and police urged any witnesses to come forward.

A file in relation to Mr Beaumont's death has been passed to the coroner at South Manchester Coroners' Court, a spokesperson confirmed. An inquest into his death will open at a later date.

Sergeant Matt Waggett, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "A man has very sadly died as a result of this collision and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

"No arrests have been made at this stage of the investigation but we are currently appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or witnessed the three motorcycles or the collision, to come forward and assist us with our investigation.

"We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam, mobile phone or CCTV footage so I would encourage anyone who was in the area to check their devices as they may have unknowingly captured vital evidence."
