Mamoun Al-Kabbani extends Saudi Toyota Championship Hill Climb lead

TAIF: The second round of the 2026 Saudi Toyota Championship Hill Climb ended on Saturday after 46 competitors battled it out in 10 classes, in addition to the Ladies Cup taking place.

The event was held under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation at Aqabat Al-Muhammadiya in Al-Shafa, Taif. With its technical nature and series of consecutive corners, the course provided a demanding test of car control, driving ability, and balance between speed and precision.

In the round’s overall classification, Mamoun Amr Al-Kabbani claimed first place after the combined total of his two fastest times from the four race runs gave an aggregate of 3 minutes, 25.451 seconds.

This marked his second consecutive victory in the championship and he also set a new record on the Aqabat Al-Muhammadiyah course after completing the second race run in 1 minute, 42.301 seconds.

Faisal Soufyan Al-Kabbani finished second, 1.650 seconds behind, while Rabih Moayad Al-Awar placed third, 7.948 seconds off the lead.

Competition was fierce, with the top finishers in each class determined by the two-fastest-run aggregate format.

On the organizational side, 38 marshals supported the event through key field operations, including managing competitor and vehicle movement, monitoring course readiness and ensuring safety procedures were followed.

The 2026 Saudi Toyota Championship Hill Climb will conclude with its third and final round at Aqabat Al-Muhammadiyah from July 31 to Aug. 1, bringing the season’s competition in Taif to an end.

The event was managed by Bakhashab Motorsport in partnership with the championship’s official partner, Jameel Motorsport.
