Mamelodi Sundowns to name new sporting director from Denmark - report
Mamelodi Sundowns are set to welcome Danish Football Union talent development manager Flemming Berg, who will become the Sporting Director at Chloorkop.
According to Danish Publication Ekstrabladet, Berg will join Sundowns in April.
The 49-year-old Dane has had a lot to do with developing talent for the Danish national teams since 2015.
He has received wide acclaim for his exploits with the Danish FA; and has been heavily involved in establishing the DBU's new children's football strategy.
The publication has indicated Berg will be assessing the Sundowns squad to look at what can be improved.
The news of Berg's departure was confirmed by the Danish Football Union when releasing an official statement.
"Everyone in Danish football owes Flemming Berg a big thank you for his great and tireless efforts and contribution to the development of Danish football," football director Peter Møller said on the official website.
