Malmo boss Henrik Rydstrom insists he wants to wrap up the Swedish League title soon and concentrate on their Europa League challenge...starting with Rangers next week.
Rangers kick off their campaign in the new-look competition next week with a testing trip to Sweden to face Malmo. Malmo drew a blank for the second game in a row this week as they were held to a goalless draw in Gothenburg against GAIS.
However, they are now ten points clear at the top of the league with just seven games left and boss Rydstrom admitted they will turn their attention to Rangers now. He said: "From our perspective, we are disappointed we didn't win but happy to keep another clean sheet. It wasn't the prettiest of games but football is like that sometimes.
"There's not usually such a big gap at the top of the table when there are so few games left so of course I am happy about that. We have put ourselves in a very good situation. But we have to work hard and remain humble. We don't get carried away.
"But now we can allow ourselves to look further ahead for the start of the Europa League campaign because we have high ambitions in the competition. It's very important for us and we are all excited about the opening game. I don't want to speculate about when we will win the title, but I promise you we will."
