Malik Tillman a Rangers transfer 'snip' at £5million as Gers are urged to get deal done with Bayern Munich

Malik Tillman would be a bargain if Rangers triggered a £5million clause to buy him from Bayern Munich in the summer, according to Tam McManus.

The USA international has become a pivotal figure for Michael Beale's side since he signed on loan at Ibrox in the summer window. Bayern Munich are yet to make a decision on his future, however the Govan could trigger their £5m option for a permanent deal if the Germans decide to sell him. Tillman has made just 10 appearances for the Bavarian outfit since graduating from the second team however Beale will be hoping he is not in their long terms plans.

During his time in Glasgow Tillman has played 37 times for Rangers and scored nine goals, which includes three in his last three games. He has also contributed to the team but assisting five goals since he joined in July under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Speaking on PLZ Soccer, former Hibernian player McManus said: "I think over the last couple of weeks since I've seen him under Michael Beale in particular I think yes, you can see why it's £5million. I think if he keeps that level of form up to the end of the season you know he's obviously got a big cup final come up against Celtic.

"If he produces in that I think there will be a big clammer in the Rangers fans to sign him up permanently. He's 20 years old, I think if you can get consistent performances out of him and improve him - I think that £5million could be a snip."
