Make-up lover shares best dupes that are even 'better than the original'

Purchasing new make-up products can often be a costly endeavour.

From foundation to bronzer, lipstick and liner, there are numerous items required for a complete make-up bag. If you're considering high-end brands, a collection of cosmetics accumulated over time can easily run into hundreds of pounds.

This is where affordable brands come in, mimicking the look and feel of certain expensive brands while offering a much more wallet-friendly price tag. This allows many more people to access products that make them look and feel fantastic - and if you can get four products for the price of one high-end item, it's certainly worth considering.

A Reddit user shared her favourite dupes on a thread, responding to another user who was questioning whether dupes were simply "overhyped" as they hadn't found any they loved.

The dupe enthusiast wrote: "I have a few drugstore champions - among my overwhelming luxury brands stash - but the one that I can truly say is a dupe because it really is clear whose footsteps they tried to follow is Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter. It's not a dead-on dupe, but to me, it's better than Charlotte Tilbury HFF [Hollywood Flawless Filter]."
