The Colombia international was substituted in the 80th minute of their 2-1 defeat to Red Star Belgrade after dropping to the floor and signalling to the bench that he needed to come off, with Kemar Roofe coming on in his place.

This came after he received treatment on the pitch earlier in the half before deciding that he could continue. A stretcher was brought onto the pitch but Morelos opted to walk off as he tried to play on, although he could not go any further than the 80th minute as he went off injured.

Van Bronckhorst is yet to provide an update on the 25-year-old’s fitness and it remains to be seen whether or not he will be available to play against Dundee.

The Ibrox faithful will be gutted with this potential injury as Morelos’ absence would come as a major blow to the club heading into the business end of the campaign.

Rangers are in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup and fighting arch-rivals Celtic to land the Premiership title over the next two months. They are still in with a chance of sealing a treble and will need all of their best players available to give them the greatest chance of securing the silverware they want to collect in May.

Morelos is certainly one of the top performers for the Gers, having proven his quality time and again for the Scottish giants.
