Maidstone United sign former Bolton Wanderers defender Reiss Greenidge

Maidstone announced the signing of defender Reiss Greenidge before last night's game at Notts County.

The 6ft 6in centre-back, a Guyana international, was a free agent after leaving League 1 club Bolton Wanderers in the summer.

Greenidge, 26, knows the National League well having spent last season on loan at Barnet, making 24 appearances.

Maidstone start a run of three home matches on Tuesday night when Southend visit the Gallagher.

The clubs haven't met competitively since the 1989/90 season when
