Maidstone United defender Jerome Binnom-Williams speaks about his return from pre-season knee injury

Jerome Binnom-Williams has a point to prove to himself after returning from injury.

The popular left-back made his first appearance this season in Maidstone’s goalless draw with Solihull Moors on Tuesday.

He wants to show he can cut it at National League level after an unhappy spell at Barnet when last in the division.

Feeling the love of Stones fans and manager Hakan Hayrettin, Binnom-Williams enjoyed the best year of his career as Maidstone won National League South.

He won’t change the way he plays, while his infectious personality and character give the team a timely boost as they look to restore confidence after two months without a win.

“That’s just my game,” said Binnom-Williams.

“I’m building on it and I just want to play football with a smile on my face.

“I class my team-mates as my brothers so when I’m on the pitch, they give me confidence and they help me, just as
