'Made a decision' - Jadon Sancho's Borussia Dortmund dream after return from Man United nightmare

Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has revealed that Jadon Sancho said that the reason he left the German club for Manchester United was to fulfill a ‘dream’ of winning the Champions League.

Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan from United during the January transfer window after a public fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag earlier in the season. Prior to his abrupt departure from Old Trafford, he had not featured for United since August.

However, since returning to Germany, the winger has returned to the type of form that saw him earn a move to Old Trafford in the first place. But his impressive displays in the Budeslida and Champions League were still not enough to see him recalled to the England squad for the first time in just under three years.

But as Dortmund prepare to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final at Wembley this weekend, Terzic has revealed that Sancho has the chance to achieve the 'dream' that he has been chasing since making the move back to England.

“Jadon has to prove something that he wants to win the Champions League trophy with us,” he said in a press conference. “I think you can see that he is very happy with us, with the group.

“To be honest, I didn’t speak to him about the English national team. This is one of his personal targets and I’m quite sure that he’d love to be involved in the national team, from my point of view, I also think he deserves to be involved with the national team of England.
