M67 closed between J1a and J3 after car 'overturns on its roof' - live updates

The M67 has been closed between Junction 1a (Denton) and Junction 3 (Hyde) following a serious road traffic collision which resulted in a car "overturning onto its roof".

Emergency services are currently responding at the scene, National Highways said in an update on Tuesday evening (October 4). Motorists are advised to plan ahead to avoid the collision area and allow extra time on their journeys.

In an update posted at 11:27pm, National Highways wrote:

"This is following a road traffic collision that has resulted in a car overturning onto its roof.

"Emergency services are responding at the scene. National Highways have resources in attendance to assist with traffic management.

"If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra time for your journey."
