West Indies vs Scotland, T20 World Cup, Group B Live Updates: Nicholas Pooran-led West Indies will be squaring off against Scotland in their opening game of the ongoing T20 World Cup. The Group B clash will be played at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Both the teams would look to get off to a good start in the tournament. The Scottish side would be captained by Richie Berrington. It is time for Match 3 in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, 2022. As Group B gets underway now, the West Indies will be up against Scotland. This match will be played at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. West Indies are the clear favourites in this game, but they have not been in the best of form recently. Nicholas Pooran will lead the side, and there are a couple of surprise picks in their squad, like opener Johnson Charles who made his comeback in T20Is after six long years and leggie Yannic Cariah who made his debut just before the mega event. However, big names like Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Shimron Hetmeyer have been left out. Hetmyer was initially named in the squad, but after missing his rescheduled flight to Australia, he was replaced by Shamarh Brooks. Kyle Mayers and Jason Holder will provide them with a nice balance with their all-round abilities. They do have a good batting line-up with Evin Lewis and Brandon King up top and Rovman Powell and Pooran in the middle order, but they have lacked consistency, which has cost them matches. Alzarri Joseph leads their bowling attack with Obed McCoy and Sheldon Cottrell, but they too have been inconsistent.
