M4 Prince of Wales bridge partially shut after crash

An accident closed two lanes of the M4 near the Prince of Wales bridge for a time on Monday morning. It had happened on the eastbound carriageway just after junction 23 Magor and before the bridge.

Traffic officers at the scene said it was affecting two lanes - one and two in the area - and cameras from the motorway showed heavy congestion.

All lanes re-opened just before 8am, but residual congestion remained in the area and traffic remained slow past 8.15am.
