M4 crash that closed two lanes saw vehicle leave road onto embankment
Two lanes of the M4 were closed for several hours near Bridgend due to a one-vehicle crash on Monday. The incident which involved one vehicle happened between junction 36 and junction 35 eastbound. There were long queues in the area with drivers warned of congestion. Police confirmed that one vehicle was involved and a car left the road and descended down an embankment. A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Emergency services were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the M4. A vehicle has left the carriageway and descended an embankment. The incident was reported shortly before 11.30am this morning." The ambulance service has been approached for comment.
