M4 accident causes hour-long delays
There have been severe delays on the M4 in the Swansea area this morning after two accidents. The first accident was on the eastbound carriageway at junction 47 Swansea West Services. The road was blocked for a time but has now reopened.
There were still delays of around an hour with congestion back to J48 Llanelli just before 9am, but traffic had eased by 9.45am.
There was another accident at Margam. Two cars were involved in the crash just after junction 38. One lane is blocked.
The M4 Prince of Wales Bridge is also closed eastbound as emergency repairs are made to potholes. The eastbound carriageway has now been closed whilst repairs are made to the road surface. One lane is also closed on the westbound carriageway.
