Lyon v Cardiff Live: Kick-off time, TV channel and score updates from Challenge Cup
Teenage Wales U20s centre Steffan Emanuel will make his Cardiff debut in this afternoon's EPCR Challenge Cup clash against Lyon at the Matmut Stadium.
Emanuel will become the youngest player ever to represent Cardiff in a European competition at 18 years and 159 days old. The 18-year-old, who returned to the Arms Park from Bath over the summer, is widely considered to be one of the best prospects in the Welsh game.
Cardiff are also boosted by the return of Wales cap Jacob Beetham, who starts at full-back after missing the start of the season through injury while Gabriel Hamer-Webb is also included on the wing. Elsewhere, Ellis Bevan and Tinus de Beer replace Aled Davies and Callum Sheedy at half-back.
Danny Southworth, Evan Lloyd and Rhys Litterick are included in the front-row, while Seb Davies is selected at lock alongside captain Teddy Williams. In the back-row Wales international Alex Mann starts his first game of the season while openside Dan Thomas also comes into the backrow.
Lyon are struggling in the Top 14 and languish second from bottom but nevertheless will provide stern opposition this afternoon. The game is only live on subscription online service EPCR TV. You can follow live updates below
