Luke Littler shows true Manchester United colours with Steven Gerrard Liverpool dig

Darts sensation and Manchester United fan Luke Littler wasted no time in firing back after the Red Devils defeat to Liverpool at the weekend.

Arne Slot's side ran out 3-0 winners at Old Trafford with Luis Diaz scoring a brace inside the first-half, with Mohamed Salah adding a third in the second-half. It was an afternoon to forget for Erik Ten Hag's side who have picked up just three points from their opening three games.

A win over Fulham on the opening week of the Premier League season, has been followed by back-to-back defeats with pressure starting to build on Ten Hag after being backed in the summer transfer window. Littler took aim at Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard in the aftermath of the defeat to the Reds, showing his true United colours.

On his Instagram page, Littler shared an image of himself holding the Premier League darts trophy aloft with the number 1 next to it, while Gerrard was also in the picture with a zero net to his image.

The Red Devils fan was, of course, making a subtle dig to the amount of Premier League titles Gerrard has in his trophy cabinet, while Luke 'The Nuke' became champion at just 17-years-old, beating Luke Humphries in the final in May earlier this year.

The Red Devils are back in Premier League action following the international break when they travel to newly promoted Southampton on Saturday, September 14th.

Sky has slashed the price of its Sky Sports, Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix bundle in an unbeatable new deal that saves £216 and includes 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

With Ultra HD included at no extra
