Luke Littler's girlfriend's mum defends couple's age gap and slams 'money grabber' trolls

The mum of darts star Luke Littler's girlfriend has spoken out to defend their age gap romance after her daughter was targeted by online trolls. 16-year-old Luke, who recently shot to fame with his impressive darts skills, is dating 21-year-old Eloise Milburn.

Eloise's mum, Amanda Milburn, has responded to accusations that her daughter is a "money grabber" and to cruel comments about the five-year age gap between Eloise and Luke, The Mirror reports. She said: "Eloise has been accused of all sorts", but she denied that her daughter is only with Luke for his money and fame, calling these claims a "total pack of disgusting lies".

Amanda told the Daily Mail: "There's been a lot of horrible stuff being posted online about my daughter and my husband Phil and I are very angry about it. She's not with him for any of these reasons. She doesn't care about his money or his fame, she's with him because she likes him. It's as simple as that."

"It's really hurtful when we read these comments, many of them from so-called darts fans. My daughter is none of these things that these vile people are making out. She's a lovely young girl who is in a new relationship and people should allow them to get on with things."

Amanda and Phil haven't met Eloise's new boyfriend Luke yet, but they've spoken on the phone. Amanda hinted that things are going so well between the pair that marriage could even be on the cards in the future.

She said: "We are a darts family, we love playing this sport and are all very dedicated to it. It's quite ironic that I met my husband through darts and Eloise might have met hers in the same way. It's still early days for them
