Luke Littler compared to Tiger Woods as darts icon's net worth rockets past £1m

Barry Hearn has drawn powerful parallels between darts prodigy Luke Littler and golf legend Tiger Woods for the impact he's had in transforming his sport.

Dubbed 'The Nuke', Littler has taken the PDC Tour by storm in his inaugural year, with earnings reportedly topping the £1 million threshold thanks to his prowess at the oche. Not included in this staggering sum are the multitude of lucrative sponsorship deals and endorsements that have flocked to him since he secured second place at last year’s World Darts Championship.

The 17-year-old is not only an ambassador for BoohooMAN but has also inked a substantial contract with Target Darts. Moreover, he's been celebrated on Forbes' 30 Under 30 Europe list for 2024.

But, according to Matchroom Sport's head honcho Hearn, Littler is just getting started in terms of his financial trajectory and could well dominate the face of darts for many years to come.

He told the Express: "I had a call this morning from a friend of mine in Las Vegas, who said, 'tell me about Luke Littler. I said, 'I don't need to tell you. Do you remember Tiger Woods?' And it's that type of Tiger Woods moment.

"When someone comes in and changes the sport to the benefit of everybody, including himself."
