(CNN)The new lucrative Saudi Arabia-backed golf league is a «new opportunity» for players and the sport, according to its chairman Greg Norman.

Speaking to CNN Sport's Amanda Davies, the two-time major winner said that he believes the new venture will provide a perfect environment to sustain the growth of golf while also allowing players themselves to expand their horizons.
