'Lucky loser' Kevin Anderson ousted at Miami Open
South Africa's Kevin Anderson exited the Miami Open in the second round on Friday after losing 6-7 (7/9), 6-3, 3-6 to Argentina's Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
Anderson got into the Masters 1000 event's main draw as a "lucky loser" after fourth-seeded Italian Matteo Berrettini pulled out with injury.
Anderson had lost in qualifying but received a lucky break straight into the second round, as Berrettini had a bye in the first round.

Meanwhile, South Africa's other singles contestant, Lloyd Harris, will face Canadian 12th seed Denis Shapovalov in the second round on Saturday.
Harris, the world No 44, defeated Argentina's Facundo Bagnis 6-3, 6-3 in the first round on Thursday.
Harris boasts a 2-0 head-to-head ATP Tour record against Shapovalov, having beaten the Canadian twice last year.
The Capetonian won 6-7 (5/7), 6-4, 7-6 (8/6) in the Dubai Championships semi-finals and 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in the US Open second round.
