'Amazing' - Giovanni van Bronckhorst drops Instagram post that Rangers fans will love

Rangers went three goals up against Dortmund after just 49 minutes played, and the Gers managed to hold on to win 4-2.

After the heroics last night, Van Bronckhorst decided to thank the travelling fans on Instagram and insisted that the focus now turns to Sunday’s away trip to Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.

The Dutchman’s post was captioned: “A strong result which sets us up for an exciting game next Thursday. The travelling support was amazing as always. Now focus shifts to Sunday and another away trip.”

Rangers travel to Tannadice on Sunday, where they face fourth-placed Dundee United in a crucial Scottish Premiership clash.

After a memorable night in the club’s history, beating German giants Dortmund away from home, it shows a lot about the Gers gaffer that he still managed to find time to turn to Instagram to thank his fans.

The Rangers faithful may have been disheartened when Steven Gerrard left the club for English Premier League side Aston Villa, but Van Bronckhorst has taken to life in Scotland well as his side have responded to their recent Old Firm defeat by winning four games on the spin.

Whilst the Gerrard heartbreak may still be sore for Rangers fans, Van Bronckhorst is certainly doing well in terms of following his footsteps and leading another title charge.
