Love Island's Scott baffles fans with his outfit as he kisses Catherine

Things certainly started heating up in the Love Island villa last night, as the most recent instalment saw lovebirds Scott van-der-Sluis and Catherine Agbaje took their relationship to the next level with some tonsil tennis! The pairing - who have been coupled up together since Sunday night's episode - came together on the terrace at the end of the episode to debrief, following an emotional day which saw new bombshells Mal Nicol and Montel McKenzie welcomed into the villa. But - whilst most fans of the show were watching adoringly as Scott and Catherine moved forward in their relationship, some fans were left baffled after realising that the footballer pro was wearing a thick-linked gilet in the upwards-of-thirty-degrees Spanish heat.

Whilst his beau Catherine wore a beautiful stone-coloured bodycon dress - appropriate for the climate of the Mediterranean - Scott had fans confused after dressing for a Nordic fjord cruise. And many viewers took to Twitter to express their amusement at his outfit choice, with one tweeting: "Why the f**k is Scott wearing a gilet in Mallorca?" Another wrote: "how is Scott cutting round a villa wearing a gilet pls #LoveIsland".

Prior to their lip-locking session, Scott pulled 27-year-old social media marketer Leah Taylor for a chat by the daybeds to let her know that, just because he's in a couple with Catherine, he wasn't completely sealed off to having his head turned.
