"Lot Of Moments I Don't Want To Disclose": Yashasvi Jaiswal On Indian Dressing Room Scene And Rohit Sharma

Yashasvi Jaiswal is certainly on the top of his game at the moment. Following a successful show in the Indian Premier League 2023, the southpaw made his India debut and never looked back. India's recent five-match Test series against England saw Jaiswal emerging as even better performer as the batter went on to break several records. He ended with 712 runs across five matches at an average of 89, dominating the series on all fronts. Throughout the series what didn't go unnoticed was a supporting captain Rohit Sharma, who was always there to back and guide the youngster.

On the ground, Rohit shared his vast experience with Jaiswal, while off the ground he made sure the youngster stayed away from limelight and kept focusing on his game.

All that effort reaped rewards during the England series as Jaiswal smashed two double centuries and three fifties. His best score was 214 not out. He was adjudged the Player of the Series.

Talking about his bond with Rohit in the dressing room of Indian cricket team, Jaiswal praised the captain for backing his players. However, the youngster added that he would keep some moments private.

"It's so good to have him there inside the dressing room. It has been great to play under him. There are a lot of moments which I don't want to disclose at the moment. Let it be with me. The way he backed players throughout this journey, the way he talks, the way he bats. Whatever happens, he will be there to stand by you. I think it's incredible to see that in your leader. I will keep learning from him," Jaiswal told The Indian Express.
