Lorraine Kelly remains silent after being sent home from ITV show as Ranvir Singh offers update

Lorraine Kelly is yet to update her followers after suddenly being sent home from her ITV show. The presenter was due on her self-titled programme on Wednesday (February 22) when it was revealed that she had been replaced by Ranvir Singh at the eleventh hour.

The Scottish TV star confirmed she will not be on her show this morning. Good Morning Britain hosts Ed Balls and Kate Garraway confirmed the news on the ITV new programme after she failed to show up for their usual mid-show crossover to tease what was coming up on her show.

Taking to Twitter, Lorraine confirmed she was unwell with a "hideous" bug and was gutted to miss interviewing Adam Lambert. "When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT!" the 63-year-old typed on social media.

Lorraine has since remained quiet as she tries to combat her sudden illness with it being confirmed during Thursday's edition of GMB (February 23) that Ranvir would be back at the helm of her show. Offering a small update on her ITV co-star, the former Strictly star said Lorraine was "still recovering".

She also shared a joke with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway about her arrival time for today's edition of Lorraine, saying she got to the studio
