Longford Town part ways with manager Henderson
Longford Town have parted ways with manager Stephen Henderson after a winless start to the season that has seen them fail to pick up a single victory from the first eight games of their League Of Ireland First Division campaign.
Longford were beaten 3-0 at home by Bray Wanderers on Saturday, which proved to be Henderson's final game in charge.
The Midlands side sit adrift at the bottom of the table with just three points. They travel to fourth-placed Wexford FC on Tuesday evening for their next league fixture.
A statement from the club read: "The club has tonight parted ways with Manager Stephen Henderson. The club would like to express our gratitude to Stephen for his dedicated efforts during his time with the club."
