Long queues on M4 after car overturns - live updates

Huge queues have formed after a car has overturned on the M4 in the Newport area on Monday morning (September 26). Traffic information service, Traffic Wales South, confirmed at around 8:00AM this morning that the incident took place on the westbound between J26 Malpas and J27 High Cross.

Fire service are at the scene and two lanes were closed for recovery. According to traffic monitoring service, Inrix, long delays are expected, with travel time expected to be 35 minutes and there is congestion on J24 in Coldra.

There is also a separate incident causing delays heading eastbound between J35 Pencoed and J34 Miskin. Traffic Wales said there is heavy congestion in the area.
