Lobi Stars dispel Amokachi’s resignation rumours

Lobi Stars have dispelled rumours that their technical adviser, Daniel Amokachi, has resigned from the club.

There were reports that Amokachi left the post on Sunday night following Lobi Stars’ 0-0 home draw against Heartland.

“Lobi Stars Football Club has been made aware of baseless rumours claiming that our technical adviser, Daniel Amokachi, has resigned following the team’s goalless draw against Heartland FC in Lafia,” the Makurdi club said in a statement .

“We unequivocally deny this false information and urge our fans and stakeholders to disregard it. Coach Amokachi remains fully committed to the team and is well aware of the unique challenges of the Nigerian league.”

Lobi Stars are battling to escape relegation this season.
The Pride of Benue currently occupy 17th position on the table.
