Livingston striker aiming to find consistency that can fire Lions up the table

Bruce Anderson believes Livingston can be looking at a European place if they cut out the inconsistency that has plagued them in recent weeks.

The Lions have picked up just one win in their last five games in all competitions following a positive start to 2022.

They had grabbed three wins in their first four matches since their return from the winter break - with the only loss being a narrow defeat away to champions Rangers.

The 23-year-old, who made it nine league goals for the season with his 55th minute strike against St Mirren, admits they need to start putting games to bed when they get themselves in front.

He commented: “I feel that it was a good opportunity to get three points and we’ve thrown it away with a set piece at the end.

“It’s been a problem all season, we keep the ball well but maybe me and the other boys in attack have to take more responsibility and try and kill off teams when we are on top.

“We will work hard next week but being so much on top, we have to kill off teams and take more of our chances in games.”

He added: “The form has been a bit up and down but we came into this game in good spirits and it’s about putting that to bed and looking forward to next weekend and looking up rather than down.

“If you put run together you are up in a European spot because the league is that tight.

“We will continue to work hard, listen to the coaching staff and hopefully get points on the board.”
