Liverpool: 'World-class' £150m star now 'willing' to move to Anfield

Liverpool would not find it difficult to convince West Ham midfielder Declan Rice to move up north, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 23-year-old has spent his whole senior career so far at the Hammers and has been linked with a move to Chelsea, but Jones says he would not be against leaving London.

Football Insider recently claimed that Liverpool have a strong interest in Rice.

The Englishman has often been linked with a return to Chelsea, whom he used to play for during his early youth days, but it appears that their rivals are also keen on him.

Liverpool will have to pay big bucks for Rice, though, with West Ham manager David Moyes previously stating that the east London club value him at £150m.

While Rice is a London boy, Jones says he would have no problem with leaving the capital for Liverpool.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "You can't rule out a transfer like that. Chelsea still makes the most sense in many ways for Declan Rice, but he is willing to move north. I've been told that before, so I don't think that's going to be a problem in terms that he would only want to stay in London."

If Klopp really wants a new midfielder, then yes. Rice is obviously going to cost a lot of money, but he could be well worth it.

Given that the England international is still just 23 years of age, Liverpool could be set for years in midfield.

He is someone who could make a real impact in the middle of the park at Anfield, with West Ham’s former head of academy recruitment David Hunt describing him as "world-class".

"He is world-class,” Hunt was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard last year.
