Manchester United take on fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

United looked to be suffering a hangover from their League Cup victory against West Ham at Old Trafford on Wednesday, but they still managed to secure a 3-1 victory after completing a late comeback to ensure progression in the FA Cup.

Erik ten Hag's side will now return to Premier League action with a visit to Anfield, a stadium where United have not won since Louis van Gaal was in charge in January 2016, when Wayne Rooney scored to claim a narrow 1-0 win.

United have made seven visits to Anfield since that win and they've scored just one goal in that period.

Regarding team news, Luke Shaw is expected to be back after sustaining a knock, while Jadon Sancho should return to the squad after a bout of sickness. Anthony Martial remains unavailable as he continues to recover from a hip injury.
