Manchester United take on fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

United looked to be suffering a hangover from their League Cup victory against West Ham at Old Trafford on Wednesday, but they still managed to secure a 3-1 victory after completing a late comeback to ensure progression in the FA Cup.

Erik ten Hag's side will now return to Premier League action with a visit to Anfield, a stadium where United have not won since Louis van Gaal was in charge in January 2016, when Wayne Rooney scored to claim a narrow 1-0 win.

United have made seven visits to Anfield since that win and they've scored just one goal in that period.

Regarding team news, Luke Shaw returns after sustaining a knock, while Jadon Sancho is on the bench after a bout of sickness. Anthony Martial remains unavailable as he continues to recover from a hip injury.
