Liverpool Under-23s were held to a 2-2 draw against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League 2 at the AXA Training Centre, as Harvey Elliott played the whole of the first half for Barry Lewtas' team.
The Reds midfielder wasn't chosen to be part of Jurgen Klopp's senior squad for their 2-0 win over Watford at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime as Diogo Jota and Fabinho temporarily moved Liverpool to the top of the Premier League.
Elliott was heavily involved in the opening goal with the assist for James Norris before Jack Bearne gave the Reds a two-goal lead. Chelsea's Joe Haigh halved the deficit as Jude Soonsup-Bell levelled proceedings late on.
Liverpool dominated the first half as they went into the break with a two-goal lead as Elliott produced an assist in his 45 minutes of action before being substituted at the AXA.
The Reds thought they had all three points wrapped up, but the Chelsea equaliser came in stoppage time at the end of the 90 minutes. Max Woltman almost won it for Liverpool after the leveller, but the forward didn't connect properly to a volley.
