Liverpool sweat on Diogo Jota injury as Kylian Mbappe contract claim made

An injury update has emerged on Diogo Jota and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ahead of Saturday's clash with Norwich City.

Jota was substituted at half-time in the win over Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night after damaging ankle ligaments.

He's set to undergo further tests this week but is a major doubt for the Premier League matches against Norwich City and Leeds United.

Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to be challenging for a start at the weekend.

There were fears he had suffered an injury during the warm-down session on the San Siro pitch after the game on Wednesday - but the club have moved to ease those concerns.
