Liverpool can move to within three points of Premier League leaders Manchester City with a win over West Ham at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
A victory over the Hammers would increase the pressure on City ahead of their match against Manchester United on Sunday, in what is already a crucial match for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Reds are in flying form having won the Carabao Cup final over Chelsea last weekend on penalties, they have also won their last seven league fixtures.
But West Ham are battling it out for the fourth spot and won’t go down without a fight, they beat Wolves 1-0 last weekend but were beaten 3-1 by Southampton in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp has stressed the importance of his squad depth ahead of Saturday, with several of his stars ruled out with injury.
Speaking on Friday, the German said: “Strength is depth is really important, no doubt about that, especially when you have to play different competitions. But we have players who are not available.
